Privacy Policy App: EASYWANIT

EASYWANIT allows customers to control WANIT products via their smartphones/tablets. The WANIT company wishes to explain to its customers the use that will be made of the information collected under the use of EASYWANIT.

A)   What information is collected?

EASYWANIT collects the following information:

  • Information related to the creation of the customer account

  • Information from WANIT devices

Information related to the creation of the customer account

​

When you wish to involve WANIT due to a problem, an error code or assistance within the framework of the guarantee, or not, the WANIT help desk will ask you to communicate your information in order to open a customer account, via the EASYWANIT application installed on your tablet or smartphone. You will be asked to complete certain information about your device, your contact and address details (postal code, city, email address or telephone) as well as the date of installation and the type of problem encountered. The application also automatically collects product data when it links with a WANIT product.

This information will then be integrated into your customer file allowing our employees to contact you to ensure the desired intervention.

This information is not necessary for the operation of EASYWANIT in its functionalities for managing WANIT products. If they are transmitted within the framework of a request for intervention, they are kept as long as the user does not make any request to delete the customer account.

Information from WANIT devices

​

The various devices connected to EASYWANIT have functions that collect information such as the temperature of the water heater tanks, the state of charge of the batteries or the estimate of your energy production or consumption. This information that you can consult allows you to optimize the use of the products, your comfort by accessing the different functions of your WANIT devices.

The parameters of the WANIT devices (on/off function, set temperatures, heating programs, etc.) are also collected regularly in order to allow you to use the functions of EASYWANIT.

This information is not retained by the application when the application is closed. They are only downloaded each time the application is opened. If the user has transmitted data collected by the EASYWANIT application, as part of an intervention request, this data is stored on a secure server managed by WANIT for a period of one (1) year. At the end of this period, the data is kept anonymously.

The EASYWANIT application will never interface with a WANIT product without your authorization and never transmit data to WANIT without your consent.

B)   What are your rights over your personal data?

​

You have the right to information and access to your data and processing, you can request the improvement or deletion of your personal data, but also the limitation of this processing. You can object to the processing and you can request the transfer and copying of your data.

Furthermore, you always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority via this link:https://www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be/citoyen/agir/introduce-une-plainte

 

A complaint is without prejudice to a disposition in an ordinary court. In case of damage, you can also claim compensation.

Wanit reminds that it does not carry out any intervention, even within the framework of the warranty period, without having previously had access to the data of the WANIT product concerned, through the EASYWANIT application, unless it is proven that the user is unable to communicate with the product, due to a communication module power failure. In this case, the intervention will concern the priority reactivation of the communication module before any other procedure.

 

C)   What are our obligations with respect to your personal information

 

As the guarantor of the storage of information concerning you, our company pays the greatest attention to the protection of this information, whether in terms of confidentiality or security.

Thus, your information is stored on servers located in Belgium equipped with the best security solutions and access to this information is strictly protected.

D)   How is this information used?

​

We only use your personal data for the needs of EASYWANIT and we undertake never to sell them without your consent. If we were to consider it, we would first ask your permission.

​

The other information collected relating in particular to the settings of your devices is used for analysis purposes in order to constantly improve our devices and EASYWANIT and to offer you new innovative services.

​

With your consent when creating your account, we may use your e-mail address to offer you promotions, events in which you could participate, surveys. We will also be able to provide you with information on WANIT products or EASYWANIT (new functions, tutorials, etc.).

If you do not wish to receive this information, you can withdraw your consent by going to your personal EASYWANIT space.

E)    How do I delete my account?

​

If you wish, we allow you to delete your account. To do this, simply contact customer service as specified below.

​

We then undertake to delete all personal data concerning you.

The deletion of the account does not lead to the end of the use of EASYWANIT because the application allows the management and configuration of Wanit products but stops the support by the Wanit teams and renders the product warranty void, except to recreate an account. in this location.
